BAKAL jemaah haji dan umrah dinasihatkan supaya bersedia untuk menanggung sendiri kos tambahan bagi visa sebanyak 350 riyal (RM400) bermula bulan ini.
Presiden Persatuan Pelancongan Umrah dan Haji (PAPUH) Datuk Seri Razali Mohd Sham berkata, perkara itu diumumkan kerajaan Arab Saudi dua hari lalu yang sebelum ini tidak mengenakan sebarang bayaran bagi visa jemaah dari negara ini.
“Kita terima dengan hati terbuka mengenai pengumuman ini yang mana kita percaya ia tidak akan membebankan bakal jemaah.
“Jemaah yang sudah berniat untuk menunaikan haji atau umrah lazimnya mempunyai wang kecemasan sekiranya perlu membayar sebarang urusan pada saat akhir.
“Malah, kos yang dikenakan itu jauh lebih murah berbanding visa ke negara lain dan perkara ini tidak sepatutnya dijadikan isu oleh mana-mana pihak,” katanya dalam satu kenyataan di Shah Alam hari ini.
Menurutnya lagi, yang menjadi kebimbangan adalah situasi yang perlu ditanggung ejen pelancongan apabila mereka terpaksa meminta kos tambahan daripada pelanggan yang sudah melakukan tempahan awal.
“Lazimnya bakal jemaah akan menempah pakej lebih awal untuk mendapatkan harga yang lebih murah, jadi apabila terdapat penambahan kos ini mungkin timbul isu dalam kalangan mereka.
“Namun, saya percaya perkara ini boleh diselesaikan sekiranya kedua-dua pihak iaitu antara pelanggan dan ejen memaklumkan perkara sebenar selain merujuk semula kepada terma dan syarat syarikat sekiranya terdapat perubahan,” katanya.
Dua hari lalu, kerajaan Arab Saudi turut mengumumkan untuk memansuhkan bayaran 2,000 riyal (RM2,300) kepada jemaah yang ingin mengerjakan umrah berulang setiap tahun.
Sehingga kini, lebih 500 syarikat pelancongan Bumiputera yang mendaftar di bawah PAPUH sudah dimaklumkan mengenai perkara ini.
“Kita sudah maklumkan kepada semua syarikat pelancongan yang berdaftar di bawah PAPUH mengenai perkara ini supaya tidak berlaku salah faham antara pelanggan,” katanya.
